8-30-09 8:26 pm A story book ending

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

We had a story book ending to that wonderful life that Shana Bearden shared with us. After a difficult day of near comatose status, Shana held out to have all of her “chicks” with her at her death. She had made me promise to have all of her kids and I with her at her death weeks before and April flew into town from Rome and within 6 minutes of hearing and feeling April stroke her face, Shana peacefully departed this world for a better place. Her passing was peaceful and quick at the end. She held out to hear and feel April, Chrissy, Brad, Wes and I all holding on to her and stroking her while we recited the lord’s prayer at the moment of passing. Please pray for Shana’s soul and for her children who were all finally present at the very end. God Bless all of you for your love and compassion you have shown for the last two years. I want all of you to attend her funeral at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church this week. I will provide details later. Thank each of you who have kept up with our family’s nightmare and who have left comments, said prayers and just thought of her day by day. Your actions helped her survive much longer than most who have this hated disease.
Today, the world is a little less bright and a lot worse off because Shana is no longer with us but Heaven is where the action is now.
Please help my kids during this difficult time by saying a prayer for them. They have each been heroes.
