Have a good Labor Day weekend

8-29-08– Shana just wanted several people to know that we have to stay around the house this weekend because her white blood cell count dropped as a result of the last chemo and she is very prone to infection right now. The Nurse Practitioner threatened her with physical injury if Shana got out in a crowd this weekend or if she found out she went to church on Sunday. Shana’s numbers are low and she is getting shots to get them up but we will have to just stay around the house this weekend and we won’t be able to visit some people we talked about seeing.
Besides, the political season is heating up and College football started this weekend so things are kind of interesting around the house right now. Go AGGIES, RED RAIDERS, LUMBERJACKS and COWBOYS! (We have many loyalties around our house this time of year!)
Keep praying,
Jim

    Hi Shana and Jim,

It has been great following your news, and you do indeed have a wonderful family. I’m so glad Shana is responding so well to her treatment and hope that the surgery may be possible to bring even greater relief for her. That way next time you come to Maryland we can do some fun things. Shana, you are amazing!! Keep doing all you can to enjoy life, and rest when you need to. A very Happy Labor Day weekend to all of the Beardens. I will continue to pray for you all and especially for Shana’s comfort and healing.

    Love, Susie

Prayer is powerful! Shana, so glad you’re able to work at getting back to your normal energy level, which is non stop.
Mike and I have really been on the go lately. Once we celebrate our anniversary with a camping trip we will be home, yuk then I have to clean the house. See you soon. With love.

I am sorry about the blood counts being down. But it is more important for Shana to stay at home so as not to get sick. There is a lot of love and prayers going for you. Always remember that. Enjoy the weekend at home.

    Love,
    Judy Chaney
